Abstract/Contents: | "A conspicuous and unsightly spotting condition was observed on dormant 'Tifgreen' bermudagrass during the first winter after its establishment. A sterile Basidiomycete isolated from the affected turf was apparently the incitant of the disorder. Failure of the spotting condition to reappear indicates that it may have originally occurred because of removal of competitive antagonistic organisms following methyl bromide fumigation used prior to establishment of the turf plot." |
