Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to determine the effectiveness of the herbicides Certainty and Velocity in controlling rough bluegrass in bentgrass fairways. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "sequential treatments were applied to [a] creeping bentgrass fairway...that was infested with rough bluegrass. Soil type was a silty clay with pH 7.1 and 4.1% organic matter." Reports that researchers "achieved better than 90% control of rough bluegrass within 8 WAIT [weeks after initial treatment] when Certainty was applied three times at 0.5 oz/A [ounes/acre] and Velocity applied four times at 0.98 and 1.3 oz/A."
