Abstract/Contents: | Describes the many aspects of turf maintenance for the Argonaut Sports Complex at the University of West Florida. The complex was designed and constructed with care to provide an effective irrigation and drainage system. Soil analysis proved effective before establishing the carefully selected Tifway 419 and Tifway 419 11 Bermudagrass. Cultural and management practices discussed include: weed control, disease control, insect pests, fertilization, irrigation, and preparation of the field for play. Also mentions selection of personnel and equipment. |
