| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses mower maintenance, stating that "within the amenity turf industry there are two distinct methods used to maintain the sharpness of cylinder reel and bedknife. The first technique is the traditional method of 'back lapping'. This method requires light contact between reel and bedknife at all times...The second method is 'non-lapped' or 'non-contact'...[requiring] clearance btween reel and bedknife so that there is no contact between the two." Evaluates the performances of two sharpeners, the Express Dual grinder and the Anglemaster bedknife grinder. |
