| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential methods to achieve better sodding results, including to "get several soil samples for a sieve analysis, sodium and nutrient testing." Suggests to "visit [the] preferred sod farm and take a look at the material [one] will be receiving." Cautions to "make sure [to] select the proper turf variety, recognizing some varieties/cultivars may be better suited for specific field acitivites than others." Suggests to "consider spending a few extra dollars and request that the sod be sprayed with a plant growth regulator (PGR) a week before shipping." Mentions fertility, stating that one "should apply water soluable fertility through a fertigation system." Concludes that the "final product is not all about the sod...a good majority is about all of the preparation that goes into the field before sodding and how [one maintains] the sod thereafter." |
