| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses Podcasts, stating that "anyone with a computer, microphone, sound board, Internet access, and headset can create their own Podcast." Explains that one does not need an iPod to listen to a Podcast becasue "Podcasts can be listened to on the computer or uploaded onto any portable mp3 player." Notes that one can obtain Podcasts on iTunes or directly from some websites, and many Podcasts are free. States that "MAGCS [Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents] was awarded a matching grant from the GCSAA [Golf Course Superintendents Association of America] to start [their] own Podcast." Concludes that "the outreach propoasal will allow the MAGCS to share their knowledge of turf and golf maintenance practices with the golfing and non-golfing communities while promoting [the] profession in a positive, environmentally sensitive and professional manner." |
