Abstract/Contents:Discusses the importance of improving the public's perception of the use of pesticides in the lawn care industry. A lack of understanding of risks and lack of knowledge of the industry may lead to inappropriate regulation of the lawn service industry, thus hindering its attempts to provide a healthier environment. Benefits of lawn services include: reduces soil erosion, reduction of noise pollution, aids growth of oxygen-producing plants, eliminates noxious weeds that cause allergies, suppresses disease-carrying insects, promotes aesthetic appear, and increases property values.
