Abstract/Contents: | Presents the two methods of insect control on turf: the preventative approach, and the corrective or curative approach. Advantages and disadvantages of both are given. Specific insect pests of warm season turfgrasses discussed include: Chinch bugs, Mole crickets, White grubs, and two-lined spittlebugs. Cool season turfgrass pests include Chinch bugs and White grubs. Discussion of potential development of insect resistance is included. |
