Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted at Grasslands Division, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in Palmerston North, New Zealand, regarding which form of nitrogenous fertilizer is most effective. Details the results of the study, focusing on botanical composition, firmness, fungus diseases, dry matter percentage, acidity changes, and yielded clippings. Concludes that, "although continuous use of the one form of fertilizer could not be recommended, it was clear that, under the conditions of the trial, ammonium sulphate produced a superior turf to any of the other treatments." |
