Abstract/Contents: | Presents the opinion of W. L. Osborn on the state of the turf industry during 1980 in New Zealand. Highlights the potential importance of having a plan, stating that "on the golf scene...[Osborn has] not found much long-term planning or continuity of objectives...but some clubs seem to have achieved wonders in a short span of time by having a long-term development plan." Suggests that increases be made with regard to district field days, cooperative machinery pools, experimentation, surveys, special visits to golf courses, and attention to detail. |
