Abstract/Contents: | Presents information on the ryegrass trials of the mid to late 1970s in New Zealand, identifying the turf's potential advantages as ease of establishment, good persistence, vigorous growth, good winter growth and good wear resistance. States that "two major disadvantages are (1) tall growth, especially in the spring and (2) difficulty of mowing." Presents a table rating the physical appearances and performances of 20 types of ryegrass. |
