Abstract/Contents:Presents an experiment regarding the effects of Longidorus breviannulatus on creeping bentgrass greens. Describes materials and the procedure involved with the study. States that "although no damage threshold has been established for [Longidorus breviannulatus] in creeping bentgrass, low numbers of needle nematodes can be damaging in other crops such as corn." Concludes that "the occurrence of the damage was related to populations of the needle nematode, and therefore, the nematode was the likely cause of the damage."
