Abstract/Contents:"MON-15100 is a new experimental compound being tested for control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in turfgrass. Field development trials were conducted across the U.S. in 1987 to test preemergent and postemergent control of crabgrass and goosegrass, preemergent control of broadleaf weeds, and safety to a variety of turfgrasses. MON-15100 provided excellent preemergent annual grass control with good safety to both cool and warm season turf species. In a limited number of preemergent trials, MON-15100 provided excellent control or suppression of broadleaf weeds such as spurge, oxalis, and henbit. MON-15100 also demonstrated potential to be used both in postemergent grass control and for fall applications to provide preemergent winter annual weed control and crabgrass control the following year."
