Abstract/Contents:Profiles crabgrass, stating that two species of crabgrass (smooth or small, crabgrass and large, or hairy, crabgrass) are very problematic on turf in the northeastern United States. Provides tips that may help control crabgrass, focusing on preemergence herbicides, post emergence crabgrass herbicides, "maintaining a high mowing height and proper fertilization regime," and early detection.
