| Abstract/Contents: | "A method involving induced infections is being used to breed for resistance to Gloeotinia temulenta in Lolium perenne. Resistance has been found to vary in a quantitative manner which is repeatable from year to year, but is not specific to strains of the pathogen from particular geographical areas, although these strains differ in their overall aggressiveness. Any cultivar of L. perenne selected by this method is likely to be resistant throughout the world." |
