| Abstract/Contents: | "Control of weeds chemically is a major component of the research program at the University. Trials are established at the experiment station, on sod farms, golf courses, and other properties throughout the state. Studies are in progress to evaluate herbicides for preemergence control of Poa annua in putting and lawn type turfs, and postemergence control in Kentucky bluegrass. Other tests have been initiated to test various herbicides for renovation where new grass is to be established from seed." |
