Abstract/Contents: | Discusses environmental change in relation to golf courses during the winter. States that in the Pacific Northwest (PNW), "the rain/snow can vary anywhere from 30 to 350 inches a year" depending on the location of the golf course. Considers that golfing conditions in the PNW are usually cold and drizzly, regardless of the season. Concludes with the possible solution of using temporary greens and raising mowing heights as a way to adapt to the colder season changes. |
