Abstract/Contents: | ""Kentucky bluegrass plots, 18 x 32 ft. have received various combinations of N, P, and K ranging from N alone to a complete fertilizer. Each plot has been divided into three rates of the various fertilizer ratios; one below normal, one above normal and one at the usual fertilizer rate. At selected times throughout the growing season, disks of turf (6" diameter) are exposed to carbon -14 labeled carbon mobilization within the plant is thus determined. This study should provide insight into the effect of fertilization practices on the energy nutrition of turf." |
