Abstract/Contents: | "New and standard chemicals are being evaluated for preemergent crabgrass control in lawn-type turf. This test also compares early (March) versus normal (May) application dates and half-rates of various chemicals. Tentative results indicate that (1) standard chemicals are providing good control, (2) new materials such as A-820, Emblem (balan WP formulation) and Ronstar are promising while several others appear limited, and (3) early use and/or half-rates of some chemicals do not provide good crabgrass control." |
