Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted at Jacklin Seed, Simplot in Post Falls, Indiana to "[evaluate] eighteen creeping bentgrass cultivars...to determine if any cultivars exhibit tolerance to pink snow mold disease." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "the severity and percent area of pink snow mold infection per plot was evaluated on 4 Mar 09 [March 2009] following a natural outbreak of the disease." Reports that "no cultivar was completely disease-free; however, there was diversity among cultivars." Continues that "this suggests that some creeping bentgrass cultivars may require fewer fungicide applications or reduced application rates for pink snow mold control."
