| Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at North Carolina State University to "[evaluate] early spring applications of two demethylation-inhibiting fungicides...for suppression of dollar spot on a plot that was originally designed to investigate fairy ring control." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "dollar spot severity was assessed on 7 and 27 May, 19 Jun [June], 2 Jul [July], 8 and 24 Aug [August], and 17 Sep [September] by visual estimation of the percentage of symptomatic plot area." Reports that "symptom occurrence was consistently lower in plots treated with Bayleton than untreated plots or those treated with Triton." Adds that "localized dry spot was significantly higher in plots without surfactant treatment in August and September rating dates." |
