| Abstract/Contents: | "Nutrition and disease control are essential areas of fine turf management (Vargas, 2005). The application of phosphite (Phi) (H3PO3) to turf surfaces has been suggested as a means to reduce susceptibility to fungal diseases and to improve turf quality (Lucas, 1995; Cook, et al., 2006). The aim of this study was to measure changes in quality, growth and disease resistance of an Agrostis stolonifera L. following applications of Phi and compare them to equivalent rates of phosphate (Pi) (H3PO4) and untreated controls." |
