Outlines the components of SSTM programs focusing on player safety, playability, and turf aesthetics, as well as the economic, environmental, and social aspects of turf sustainability. Emphasizes performance testing for playability, encouraging frequent evaluation of surface characteristics of the soil and plant, traction, irrigation systems, and fixtures surrounding the field.
