| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "[to] determine the effectiveness of [Baygon] for control of [the hunting billbug] in...geographical areas of the United States." Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "a pretreatment insect count was made by lifting 4 sections of turf each 1 ft2 [1 square foot] and examining them for adults and larvae." Reports that "both formulations gave effective kill of adults." Concludes that "it is evident that under the conditions of this test, Baygon at a dosage of 3 oz [ounces] active ingredient [per] 1000 ft2 [active ingredient per 1000 square feet] will effectively control hunting billbugs." |
