Abstract/Contents:Briefly presents a study "to: evaluate the impact of mowing [during the] turning-green phase; and compare the green periods and drought resistances between Jingyin buffalograss and [five other] varieties." Indicates the materials and methods used during the study, stating that "turf colour [color] rating was on a scale of 0 to 5, where 0 was brown and 5 was dark green." Reports that, "compared with other varieties, Jingyin buffalograss was more tolerant to drought stress in spring." Concludes that "mowing in late fall can improve the performance of all varieties by improving drought resistance and advancing the turning-green phase."
