Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted at the University of California, Riverside to evaluate fungicide treatments "for their effectiveness in controlling dollar spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa) on creeping bentgrass." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "fungicide applications were initiated curatively after disease was observed on the plots (approximately 14 Sep [September])." Notes that "Eagle was misapplied at the rate of 1.38 fl oz [fluid ounces] instead of the label rate of 1.2 fl oz." Reports that "overall, all fungicide applications provided significant (64 to 100%) control of dollar spot 14 days after the first application."
