| Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at Pennsylvania State University to "[evaluate] fungicides for control of Pythium foliar blight in perennial ryegrass." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "plots were inoculated on 12 Jul with a spore and mycelial suspension of a five-isolate pool of Pythium aphanidermatum. An internal intermittent misting system provided high relative humidity and leaf surface wetness during the course of the study." Reports that "in the final disease assessment on 21 Jul [July], SARS-409 (3.0 fl oz [fluid ounces]) and the tank mixture of Disarm (0.36 fl oz) and Alude (6.0 fl oz), and Segway (0.75 fl oz) provided the most effective control." |
