| Abstract/Contents: | "This paper discusses the climate of Japan and its surrounding areas, and elucidates distribution of natural and planted zoysiagrasses, based upon the results of the author's investigations. As zoysiagrasses are chiefly used as turfgrasses in Japan, the distribution and utilization of zoysiagrasses are discussed. For this purpose, the conventional botanical classification is inadequate, so the author has made a new classification from the standpoint of utilization. Based on this classification, the problems of distribution and utilization are elucidated." |
