Abstract/Contents:Discusses the growing importance of turf throughout the global community in 1938. Suggests that Great Britain has had in active role and that the "climate, ideal for grass growth and second only to that of new Zealand, makes it fitting that British scientists should lead the way in this connection." Recognizes that a majority of the research is for "the agricultural aspect of turf management." Concludes that "in pursuing...[the] policy of bridging the gap between theory and practice....[The Agrostologist] shall continue to draw freely upon the results of all grassland investigations."
