Abstract/Contents: | Profiles the informal lawn experiment performed by Professor R. G. Stapledon where mowing the lawn while wet helps eradicate weeds. Explains that the lawn was "full of moss, self-heal and daisies," adding that ammonium sulfate and iron sulfate were applied to the lawn. Indicates that half of the lawn was cut while wet and the other while dry and that "the two halves are as distinct as they can be, the effect of the dope still showing about 400 per cent." Suggests that The Agrostologist continue the experiment to determine why the wetness of the lawn effected the weeds more radically. |
