Abstract/Contents:Briefly discusses possible actions to be taken when "one or two greens fail to respond to a particular schedule of treatment." Suggests that "this may be due to [a] difference in the botanical composition of the turf," recommending that "under these circumstances the sub-soil requires ameliorating." Features the Copt Heath Golf Club in Birmingham, England as facing these problems, adding that the "14th green...will be replaced as it is composed of desirable grasses which will respond to treatment after the sub-soil has been ameliorated."
