Abstract/Contents: | Discusses various turf species, suggesting that "it is now recognised [recognized] that the large number of types found within each grass species vary not only from one country to another, but from one habitat to another." Indicates that "new strains of other species have been bred from mother plants derived from British pastures, meadows and parks," adding that "from such plants have been bred the types now known as pasture strains" which may prove to be too weak. Presents blends of grass species which may provide successful results, indicating the types which are able to be used for agricultural purposes and on sports fields. |
