Abstract/Contents: | Addresses a previous article entitled New Fairways For Old, stating that though in agreement with the recommendations, there remains a feeling that "a great deal must depend on local conditions; moreso perhaps on seaside than inland courses." Provides suggestions for turf improvement, including a well drained soil, stating that "nothing seems to lower the vitality of the grass during autumn and winter so much as water that is allowed to remain on the surface for any length of time." Recommends de-worming golf fairways and briefly provides a method to increase efficiency. |
