Abstract/Contents: | Presents a requests in regard to whether mowing turf shorter in the winter will foster lateral growth. Responds that "growth during the fall and winter is different from growth in the spring and summer because plant growth habits are affected by daylength." Suggests that management practices which might promote turf growth include "lowering the cutting height and appropriated fertilization particularly nitrogen fertilization." |
