| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses possible control methods for crabgrass, indicating that the weed may begin germinating in April and continue through mid July. Briefly addresses integrated pest management (IPM) solutions, explaining various ways in which it may be misused. Examines the reasons for which most preemergence herbicides may not be successful in controlling crabgrass, suggesting the use of Siduron to ensure efficacy. Provides information on two postemergence herbicides available for the control of crabgrass, recommending Quinclorac for "young, un-tillered crabgrass seedlings," and Fenoxaprop for larger crabgrass seedlings. |
