Abstract/Contents: | Briefly discusses the job demands of a sports field manager, stating that "as professional sports field managers we are constantly helping people get what they want...We find ways, often creatively, to fix the problem." Continues that "we get to wear many hats- turf grower, soil scientist, repairman, surveyor, equipment operator, budget manager, engineer, salesman, coworker, psychologist, and trash picker-upper." Explains that many sports field managers are required to make due with a limited budget, which encourages them to be creative in their problem-solving. |
