Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the construction and maintenance of dog parks, or "off-leash areas for dogs." Notes that "long-term care of [for] the park's turf," rather than pet waste removal, might be the most difficult struggle for turf managers. Lists tips for "facility design and construction, pet waste control, and turf maintenance, highlighting drainage, mowing height, soil compaction ("both the four-legged and two-legged kind"), as well as the use of herbicides. |
