| Abstract/Contents: | "The results of the nutrient analysis of a sand golf green rootzone which received a range of fertilizer applications are presented. The analysis consisted of measurements of sand P2O5, K2O and pH and a visual assessment of phosphorus deficiency. The leves of sand P2O5 and K2O were influenced by sample date, fertilizer phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen application and lime. Phosphorus deficiency was most acute in the plots that did not receive any fertilizer phosphorus, were not limed and received the highest rate of nitrogen. The pH of plots increased with lime and decreased with increasing nitrogen application." |
