Abstract/Contents:Discusses findings from research conducted by the University of Rhode Island to determine "the changes in efficacy of several different fungicides over the past 12 to 14 years [in controlling anthracnose]." Reports that "azoxystrobin (Heritage) showed the biggest loss of efficacy" and that chlorothalonil (Draconil) was the only product tested in which anthracnose resistance did not increase at all in the 14-year period. Recommends to incorporate aggressive cultivation strategies, apply effective fungicides and tank mixes, and to rotate fungicides for each spray application to potentially control anthracnose.
