Abstract/Contents: | Provides an announcement from Health Canada regarding pesticide use, stating that "all turf and ornamental uses, other than bulb dip, of pest control products containing quintozene will be phased out as of December 21, 2010." Notes that "the re-evaluation decision document outlines viable alternative active ingredients to quintozene...for the control of snow molds on turf." Concludes that "it is our understanding that there is only a small inventory of pesticides containing quintozene in Canada, and we believe that the remaining stock can be used up by the phase-out date." |
