| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate preventative insecticide applications for control of ticks on bentgrass. Reports granular treatments were applied by hand and then irrigated. Reports plots were infested with one of two species of nymphal ticks in the center of each turf plug four hours after treatment. Notes that mortality was determined 24 hours after infestation, and each treatment was compared against a non-treated control and replicated four times. Summarizes that all treatments caused significant mortality for both tick species. |
