| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the development of an industry code for composting, suggesting that such a code would enable statisticians to generate and track statistics on various aspects of the industry. Provides information on NAICS (North American Industry Classification System), "the 'standard for use by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the collection, tabulation, presentation, and analysis of statistical data describing the U.S. [United States] economy.'" Continues by detailing the potential classification for the composting industry, recommending that it should be given a separate code from the fertilizer industry. |
