Abstract/Contents: | "The use of biostimulants on turfgrass areas continues to be a management practice of great interest to many turfgrass managers. There are more than 20 different biostimulants on the market today. The active ingredient(s) of these materials range from plant hormones to enzymes to various microorganisms. The effectiveness of these materials is primarily substantiated by testimonials; there is little university research conducted under field conditions which support the manufacturers claims. We will continue to evaluate selected biostimulants for their effectiveness in stimulating root growth, improving turfgrass quality and improving the stress tolerance of turfgrasses growing under adverse conditions." |
