| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential effects of plant growth regulators pesticide application schedules. Suggests that "less upright growth, increased turf quality, and possible increased resilience to summer stress are all potential benefits of using a PGR [plant growth regulator] program." Warns against the effect of demethylation-inhibiting fungicides (DMI), stating that "a primary problem with DMI fungicide overregulation is the difficulty in diagnosing it." Indicates that "DMI fungicides and plant growth regulators are integral pieces in providing high quality turfgrass," advises to "watch out for possible problems they may cause." Provides recommendations to regulate applications and ensure turf health. |
