| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a cultivar evaluation of five fine fescue cultivars and 'Sabre' Poa trivialis conducted to determine quality and fall color retention, at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) in Wooster, Ohio in the fall of 1979. Details the materials methods used, stating "the plot area received approximately 3 lb. N/1000 sq. ft./yr. and were maintained at a 2 inch cutting height with clippings being returned." Notes that quality ratings were taken monthly. Reports in Table 5 that Jamestown, Banner and Dawson showed "comparable seasonal quality ratings," while Pennlawn showed nearly complete color loss by mid-December. |
