Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to evaluate various commercial blends and mixtures, with plots split into three rates of applied urea nitrogen at rates of two, four and six pounds of nitrogen per 1000 square feet a year. Details the methods and materials used, stating that "the nitrogen source used was applied in four equal applications...[and] all plots were mowed at two inches with clippings being returned." Reports that at the two pound application, the mixtures containing Kentucky bluegrasses, perennial ryegrasses, and red fescues showed the highest quality at both two and four pound applications, shown in Table 12. Concludes that at all fertilities, Swift and Sure showed the highest quality.
