| Abstract/Contents: | Presents two reports on fungicide research conducted by Michigan State University to evaluate preventive and curative fungicide applications for brown patch control. Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "the study was inoculated with R. [Rhizoctonia] solani growing on a sand/cornmeal topdressing mixture." Reports that, for the preventive study, "all treatments provided statistically significant brown path control compared to the untreated check plots." Continues that "[in the] curative study, a pretreatment rating...showed a range in the average brown patch level from 8-29% [percent] disease." Concludes that no phytotoxicity was observed for either of the two studies. |
