Abstract/Contents: | Presents the January 2011 Board Report from the Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents, analyzing and discussing the year of 2010 with regard to golf course maintenance. Focuses on accumulated soil moisture, suggesting that "the difference of 3-4" [inches] of rain on a 90 degree summer night became the 'deal breaker.'" Offers advice with regard to preparing courses for 2011. States that "our primary goal is to ensure that the turf quality is as good as it can be for our patrons." |
