Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted by Iowa State University to evaluate fungicides "for control of brown spot in greens height creeping bentgrass." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "periodic assessments of disease symptoms were initiated July 2. Visual estimates of brown patch disease severity were made with a qualitative scale." Reports that "most of the tested products suppressed brown patch significantly." Concludes that "quality substantially dropped in the unsprayed control and in some fungicides treatments...[but] some cases improved over the treatment period."
