Details methods and materials used during several experiments conducted by Michigan State University on a United States Golf Association specification putting green. Reports that "rolling once in the morning reduced dollar spot intensity significantly; specifically a 68% [percent] reduction in dollar spot development was achieved." Discusses potential advantages and disadvantages of both preventative and curative control methods. Suggests, with regard to fairy ring, that "in most studies the only product that has consistently worked is Prostar." Advises that "you may need to do a little bit of experimenting to see what works at your facility." |
